Re: Heads up - expat scam artist
She even lies about her age. She said on expatforum she was in her late 40's. Not according to this:

I am a Survivor
I had my brush with cancer as a child. I believe I have long term chronic pain and infertility issues partially because of that experience.
I am personally feeling the physical and emotional impact of my experience, so many years later. I am delighted to find this site. It has been a very valuable resource for me.
I have my MA in Psychology and am a wellness coach. I have been involved in various areas focusing on medical issues for many years.
I have been coaching for over 15 years, and completed my training at CTI, and Duke University in Integrative Medicine.
I have coached a number of cancer survivors and have really enjoyed that work. I am very interested in the patient navigator field focusing on post cancer issues, and am considering starting a non profit service in this area.

Re: Heads up - expat scam artist
I never noticed this thread until today and it makes me so happy! There are a couple of things I delight in. First, it dovetails so beautifully with a current conversation going on in the community about local scam artists and predators, etc. The second thing is the photo published by Flamingo. (Thank you!)
JUST LOOK AT IT!
#1 She's wearing somebody's Christmas Tree Ornament as an earing, and #2, she appears to be stealing somebody else's handknit winter cap off the top of their head as she walks the street, head down, eyes lowered. It's so perfect. BEWARE!

What about: double spaghetti straps, mosquito bite on the ear, and funky hair all suggesting a beach location.

Are you saying she won't be breaking the "glass ceiling" in the world of the best scam artists? LOL

Re: Heads up - expat scam artist
Now that she knows she has been outed she might want to look presentable and keep a nice expression on her face whenever she goes out so people can get a better picture of her. Once you are famous (infamous? notorious?) you need to keep your legacy in mind. Besides, she never knows when she might be scooped up for deportation and will want to look nice for her arrival back in the states.

From this photo, I'd say the dang paparizzi caught her on a bad day.

Re: Heads up - expat scam artist
BTW......another portion of her rental fraud was to threaten to report the landlord to hacienda for tax evasion if they pursued her. This of course only worked in cases where the landlord was not paying taxes on the rental income (which is probably quite common).

Smarts plus Comedy is what make InsideLakeside by far the best internet message forum at Lake Chapala. Laughing and learning is such a great combination. Thank you all!

I second that, Rosa. This is a smart and funny bunch. And thanks to CBob for allowing us to post free range style instead of maincooning us into boring submission.

As soon as TOB shows a spark of life, the Coonster stomps it out but makes a final remark before locking the thread behind him.

I split off the tax discussion into it's own thread as it may be helpful to others searching for info on that topic.

Re: Heads up - expat scam artist
So she ends up getting "free" rent for a while, but how else does she live, and does she have or make friends or just a loner? Heck of a way to live.
It seems, Mexican or Gringo, unless you kill/rape or do great bodily harm, etc. you're pretty much on your own.
The cops may intervene if "it" happens in front of them, otherwise -- - -
IMO, this is why so many things don't get reported other than for insurance purposes. Some people prefer to handle it extra-judicially.

Re: Heads up - expat scam artist
Yeah, she is back. CCB (Catherine Claire Blythe) threw a bunch of accusations at her. Wendy Bri Morgan is the current name. Sells CBD, life coach, etc. One accusation is she used Mama Cleo’s Boys home by claiming to give a % of her sales to them but didn’t. True or not, I don’t know.
On another note, after this all started on FB CCB suddenly blocked me. Why? No idea. Wasn’t friends with her and never backed this Wendy person. The beat goes on…
