Hacienda Del Lago

Anyone know what has happened with this place. I know people that had reservations to stay there and they have received an e-mail saying that it has shut down. When they called they were told that "Yes it is closed and they couldn't discuss it".....

Only gossip I heard and don't think I better say it on here since the owner reads the forums.

One of the owners was there last week and said the restaurant was closing and when I started whining, he said that the bar would be open for drinks and snacks.
He is super busy with his other properties and going back and forth to Argentina, plus he just took on a big job with setting up a boutique hotel for someone in D.F. However nothing was said about the hotel closing.
We are fairly new to this area but had heard rumors that all was not well with a "situation" there....really too bad because I love this place....the setting is incredible!

When I tried their website it said website no longer exists.

Wow! The website was there last Thursday, albeit greatly modified. What a shame maybe someone will come along and get the place running again! Have my fingers crossed.

The property is owned by a couple who live in the US. The B&B and eatery were leased to the departing parties. No idea what will now take place...Hoping CanuckBob will step up and expand his empire...
