The one and only Scotia Machine with it's staggering withdrawal limits and down times has pissed me off to the point where
I don't bother with it at all.
HSCB has much more user friendly limits. I withdraw 12,000 pesos at a time, usually lasts a month.
hockables, I can withdraw $10,000 pesos daily from the Scotiabank machine, if I choose. Anyone that needs to withdraw more than that at a time, definitely has a spending problem!

Contact your bank in Canada & ask them to change the amount you can withdraw. Your bank sets this limit.

Does anyone know if the Scotiabank ATM is up and running again?

Re: Scotia ATM
The new machine is in but not functional yet. They are still finishing the concrete around it. Probably a day or two?
Re: Scotia ATM
I went to check on the progress this evening.
The new ATM is concreted in. The broken glass on the side of the booth is still not replaced. There is a sign saying it should be operational by June 10th.

LOL it actually did say 2016 though when I passed by this morning, it still wasn't in function.
There is still hope.

It wasn't yesterday. I'll be passing by there again in a couple of hours and will take a look.
Re: Scotia ATM
Still not working when I passed it this afternoon. The glass has been replaced and the new cemernt has been painted so its getting close I suppose.
Re: Scotia ATM
Thanks for checking Bob. I'll pass by tomorrow and give a report.

Re: Scotia ATM
On TOB this, and the fact that HSBC across the street decided to secure their ATMs in concrete as well, was deemed to be "A disaster". All their favorite ATMs closed at the same time. Great wailing and gnashing of teeth. JEEEZE

Oh yeah, and the one who actually said this was "a disaster" was upset when another poster pointed out that Orlando was a disaster and this a minor inconvenience.
Of course, the complainer then had to go into great detail about just how difficult life would now be and threw in the popular "I don't have a car" whine. Sorry, if you decide not to have a car you save lots of money and aggravation. So, now and then not having a car bites you in the butt just like having a car sometimes bites those who do. Suck it up.

Lady Otter Latte, I wasn't the one who initiated the word 'disaster', I was just agreeing with the previous poster. I wouldn't dream of trying to compare a problem like this to the tragedy in Orlando!
And yes, not having a car can save money (which is one of the reasons I chose not to have one), but definitely not aggravation. I invite you to join me someday when I have to make multiple stops around town (paying a new bus fare each time), pick up heavy groceries, then hop on the bus to go back home! I think I'm getting pretty good at 'sucking it up'!

When I went by at 1 pm today, the sign was still on the window, so I guess it's still not working.

Sue, I wasn't referring to you at all. Nor I was referring to every person who does not have a car, which includes several of my friends. Everything that is written is not about you personally.

There are so many "disasters" in the parallel universe (TOB), both literal and figurative, that it is hard to keep track of them.
It is hard to recognize where I am living at times until I wake up from the dreamscape.
I am also amazed that a very few select people know that there is so much more going on, especially the number of crimes committed that no one else has privy to. They must spend all day canvassing neighborhoods compiling their "statitistics".
