Gosh, not one comment here about the new format on TOB

Maybe I will get used to the new format on TOB just like I finally did with Win 10, which I finally really like, only if I have a touch screen, but right now it sure is confusing on TOB. Also the seem to have eliminated the page that showed the number of posts made each day, which sadly was going down.

Yes I like both of these boards and hope that both do well.

Absolutely hate it. I thought maybe they were having trouble again and it would be fixed in a couple of days. Tell me it ain't so!

I had not been to TOB until I had read this post. It is awful! Maybe it's just that it's late and I'm tired, but what a confusing site. I gave up trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
There is no way that I saw to View New Content. You have to go to each forum. Once in there I just got frustrated and left. Maybe it will look better in the morning. However, If this format is as bad as it seemed tonight their traffic is going to go down even more.

And what's up with receiving notifications from this site? Does it mean they'll send me SPAM? GRRRR And no more indicators that I've read the post or commented on it.

A friend of mine owns a board with the same software. He updated to the current version several weeks ago and, after a few hiccups, came up with a really attractive and functional board. The software supports a bunch of really nice features which I doubt we will ever see on TOB. The difference lies in Admin---some got it and some ain't!

Yeah. And that one ain't got it. What we see is what we got -- and will have, I'm afraid.

It's as slow as a banana slug crawling up a redwood tree. Otherwise, I could get used to it......eventually. I fail to see this as an improvement.

I poked around a bit this AM and got my problems with the new format figured out.  I like to read the "unread" posts which I could only find by clicking the large = sign and then activity then unread content.  Tried the left of the three icons at the top and immediately got the unread posts.  In the unread content page, just below RSS feed is an icon for expanded or condensed view.  Condensed gets rid of all that white space and makes for much easier viewing.  OK, I'm almost convinced that this is better except it's so sloooooow.

Too slow. Format ok but not worth the loading time.

I started to explore and see if I could make it work for me and how I use the board. I got too frustrated by the slow speed and left.
Also, I have the boards set up to open and log me in automatically. Now, TOB is telling me I have to log in to comment. When I find my password I will try that. But, if I have to log in every time I comment coupled with the slow speed, so not worth it.

Once you are signed in you can post--just like before.

They've upped the speed now.
