St. Remy - Any success finding a new location?
Does anyone know if St Remy has been able to find a new location? If not, are they still attempting to do so?

We were there in December and they indicated that they were trying to find a suitable location to re locate.

Plenty of possibilities for an upscale place. Several vacant restaurants recently closed, one across from Sunrise long closed; the old Yves' location on the lakefront and one place where the owner would probably love to sell out and retire from the fray.
But then, there are the greedy landlords who start with a fair rent and double it the next year. Makes it a tough business.

Ya think Char-ming is speaking in jest? After all, La Mision is offering so many marvelous $500 peso dinner events these days that they must be able to fund all sorts of charitable projects, so what could possibly motivate a move?
It would be a pretty good location for St. Remy, though. Good parking. Nice building.

I would like to see them fix up the old Yve's location. It was nice to have a quality restaurant there.

Pure unsubstantiated rumor to follow: The landlord is the problem. Has been, all the way back to Roberto's.CanuckBob wrote:I would like to see them fix up the old Yve's location. It was nice to have a quality restaurant there.

Jaja..... it's not a rumor, it is a fact however maybe he will mend his ways since it is empty now and his own attempt to run a bar out of there failed miserably.
