pot hole solution ?

yesterday , someone put a plastic milk crate in the biggest hole on the carreterra in Ajijic with a pole in it supporting a red mechanic's shop rag
when I came back after lunch , it was gone ..... my impression was that they fixed the roads in late fall , after the rainy season BEFORE the NOBs arrived in the winter ...... in any case, I feel it's dangerous at night when you can't see them no matter how much paint we put on them

That is great ,Carry Bean,here they just stick an old tire or some rubbish in them.

WE WIN ! ...all the holes in Ajijic have been FILLED ...sort of .... not the best job but it's definitely better than it was ......thanks to all the Rebs that helped push for it

How do you do a repair that will last? Even the ones that the city does seem to last only a few months.

Looks good until a cop spots you doing that and says you have committed the "crime" of "damaging" public property, etc.

How about a used tire with flowers "planted" in it? Of course, you might have to "modify" the hole to hold the tire.

How about a pot-hole party? Get together one evening, relax and just at dawn, drop some tires and flowers in the holes? Hopefully, the tire isn't too high.

Just trying to think creative.

next time .....a hot patch is where they heat the area , melting the existing asphalt so the new asphalt flows and adheres ........ it's then tamped ....will last for years
