If you like steak well done, how do you say it in Spanish? The book I have doesn't have restaurantese in it. (No remarks about how I'm ruining a good piece of meat, please! :) )

Good one. Since I prefer my steak "termino medio" or "termino medio rojo." Termino Negro?

That was fast! Thanks so much! If they look at me blankly when I use one phrase, I'll try the other. I made the mistake of ordering short ribs when I was there & they grilled them. Toughest piece of meat I've ever tried to eat since they weren't braised & were definitely rare.

I always did like research. Used to take a volume of the Encyclopedia and bubble bath to the tub when I was a kid.
"Rojo" works great if you just want them to run it through and brand it on both sides. Me, I prefer my meat dead before I eat it. Lizzy
