El Chapo subject is a non subject. He ran his cartel from jail and now he is out...big deal...One day he will retire or get killed or go back to jail and someone else will take his place or another cartel will take over...as long as there is demand these guys will be around so the enemy number 1 are the guys consuming drugs not the guys selling it. Legalize drugs and ta them and let people who want to destroy themelves destroy themselves, just like they do wih alcohol or tobacco..

Hmmm,it's all over the news here and I've heard a lot people here in Guadalajara discussing it,so it does appear to be a subject of conversation.
Did you read the article I mentioned?

It doesn't sound like a breakout. He just used a less convenient exit provided by the authorities.

Yes it is a subject of conversation but what comes out re el Chapo? Nada..

Now the real topic should be who the hell is involved in letting him out, that would be interesting to hear about..but again we will never know but the story the government wants us to hear.

Here's a link to the NY Times article mentioned earlier by Viajero. I can add this to the Times story: The Mexican press seemed delighted to report that Chapo is Public Enemy No.1 in Chicago once again, right up there with the likes of Capone and Dillinger.

Public Enemy? At Home in Mexico, ‘El Chapo’ Is Folk Hero No. 1

sorry viajero I did not answer your question, es I read the aricle and it is well written but I did not read anything new. El chapo is a hero to many..
I know that I had several kids late teenagers who tell me they would like to be part of the cartels and what I told them that they must have a death wish they told me look at El Chapo he is old and rich and that is what I want...great exemple for the youth. No question he is a folk hero or a Robin Hood and there is nothing about the government that is attractive to anyone ..

I agree, it was well written and entertaining but I am afraid that this latest escape besides public enemy number 1 made him a super folk hero...

LOL,even the Taiwanese are laughing about it !
Meanwhile EPN is enjoying fine food and wine in France with his 300 plus entourage.
Maybe El Chapo is picking up the tab...

I'm sure he paid for (provided)  the exit, unless the prison supervisors and guards were moonlighting, digging the tunnel, and it don't seem like they have that kind of engineering expertise, or the front money to even finance it, or supervise the construction.
It seems to me that El Chapo is has an abundance of wealth and intelligence compared to his keepers. I doubt any of them have the capability of running his worldwide empire and connections.  It's  a total mismatch at any level.
A US prison is probably the only place he can be kept securely.

Probably, but I doubt that the Mexican government wants him talking to US prosecutors. Shocked

As I have said in the past, him and his like should be sent to Guantanamo. Doubtful they would escape from there and the US could have someone to share the rent with.

If punishing him is important that would be a good way to take care of the problem at least he would not escape from that one..
He could be buried with some gold coins in the mouth and hellmoney could be burnt and that way he could continue bribing his way all the way to heaven...
