I seem to see SATA to USB connectors but nothing for the power which is 4 pins.
I'm thinking this large gb drive may need too much power to work with a laptop.
Anyone know about this stuff?
Thanks

If you can wait a week, I'll have a case that I'll give you. I presume that you are talking a 3.5" drive.

No, this is a HD that came out of a P.C. It's 5.5" X 4". I can get the SATA to USB cable, but the problem is the power.
Maybe it can't be done??

Connect the drive via the sata port to the laptop and connect the power to a PC (internally). I've done this many times. It gets a little crowded but it works like a charm.

That's a 3.5" drive (the size of the internal disks). I have a case I'll give you. I have a multiple case coming down in the next couple of days and you can have the old case. Bring the drive and I'll even install and check it.
