You will find yourself in Jocotopec for shopping, as getting to Chapala/Ajijic/Riberas has become a long drive with the new topes and traffic. It is definitely a car-dependent location.

Check out problems with the HOA. I can't give details from first hand experience, but have heard big problems from someone who owns there.
