Friend had wallet picked on Chapala bus yesterday
My friend had his walled picked from his front pocket on the Chapala bus yesterday in front of the HSBC across from Walmart. A group of men was in the front on the bus and blocked his way and jostled him, when he put his had up to hold the rail his wallet disappeared. Just a warning.
And my woman friend who lost her wallet during the Chapala Mardi Gras had her returned minus the money. A Mexican man found it with all the cards in it and returned it to a friend in the Raquet Club where she used to live. A reward was paid.
If anyone finds a wallet with a drivers license for Roy Thielking email me: simpsca2000 (at) yahoo.com or call him (Roy) 766-5172 (he doesn't read his email).

It is sad that we have to face these types of crimes, but thank you for letting us know as we all let our guard down from time to time.

Someone just posted on Chapala.com that the same thing happened to his friend on the Chapala bus - same way jostled by a group of men in the front of the bus. So beware if you ride the bus.

Roy had his wallet returned last night by a Mexican couple (minus the money and a phone card) - paid them a 200 peso tip. At least he doesn't have to get a new Mexican drivers license.
