Jalisco License plate stickers

I have a question on Jalisco license plate stickers. Do you have to keep all the past years stickers displayed on the windows, or just the current year sticker?

Good question. I do not know.
I see all the cars with their old stickers cluttering up the windows and just assumed it was a requirement.
Anyone know for sure? Spencer?

Just the latest sticker is required, as you would not be able to have it unless the previous years had been paid.
For me, it's easier to leave the old calcomanias (stickers) on, than to scrape them off.

We have a razor scraper, so we always removed the old and put the new in the same spot. Otherwise, the small car‘s window would have been covered completely in the 8 years we had it.

Yes, I just keep current year and last one, still save all prior years receipts as they will be needed when you sell the car but I keep them in a folder at home.

I asked the guy at the office where you pay and receive the sticker and he told me two years worth - i.e. this year and last year.

The prior years receipts that you are referring to are the "Recibo Oficial" with the green JAL background and "Pagado" stamp, right?

For the year I paid online and nothing was delivered, I have one, but it only shows that I paid for a duplicate "Tarjeta de circ. U Holograma". That should be fine, right?

Where on the windows are the 2 stickers applied? Front or back? Left or Right? Top or bottom?

Usually on the left side, rear window.

If in doubt, save it.
