Where to buy chicken and fish ???

I have been looking for a local small vendors to buy chicken patas, and other parts for my pets.. As well as good clean chicken and fish for myself. Seeking non Sorianas type places, any suggestions?

If you don't mind fly covered fish of questionable origin, that works.
However, for good quality fish and chicken, CBOB's recommendation is mine, too.

What CanuckBob said, they are both the best locally for each product.

you can get chicken and fish at the mercado in chapala. but for more edible[less tough] human consumption i get my chicken at wallyworld.
puritan is more expensive and not better quality than wally or soriana,and for 1 or 2 people their chicken is rather large.

i have bought fish at the chapala tianguis and have not questioned its origin. so what if the odd fly lands on it-unless you want it for sushi that doesn't matter.

For chicken we use El Pollo Gordo, on the Caraterra in the block west of Colon. The owner used to work at Puritan. Same chicken, better price.
