threads on tob all day, I get this page:

I am. This happens every now and then. It could be down a few hours or a few days.

Is there another board?

That's the rumor.

Unable to access happens once in awhile. It is usually fixed in a few days.

This is the second day for me not being able to get on chapala.com. Does anyone know how to contact the admin?

Database problems. Everybody sees this. They know. Nothing you can do or contact.

There's definitely still a problem this morning.  One can PM the administrator but the threads are unreadable.

I keep suggesting to them they need to use the same service this board uses. They use Invision which is notorious for those kinds of problems.

Looks like TOB has blocked so many ISPs it is now blocking it's self, Oops

Because of the rotating IP's down here I don't block IP's as I wouldn't want some innocent member to get assigned a blocked IP and not be able to get on.

I can access the site, and titles show up, but I get the error message when I attempt to see the replies. No use trying to "refresh" either.

Just went there now to see if it was back. It wasn't. There are some new posts but I still can not access them. Then I noticed a new post title that said: "Back door to read posts; click on member name, then 'Topics'.
I did and that works. It takes you to the listing of all that users posts with the newest ones top so you can read any post.

Thanks for the info., but since I don't imagine there's any earth shaking events happening that we don't hear about elsewhere, I'll just wait until they get their act together.
What's making me nuts is that all the RSS feeds seem to have gone on strike on my main page. WTF???

The back door does not work for me, I get the same data base message again. I'm amazed that they let that board limp along in such poor condition. I regularly check into several boards and that is the only one that has these ongoing problems.

Mine are unavailable, too. I use Yahoo as my homepage. No idea why they're all unavailable. Maybe it's a Yahoo problem? Who knows.

Re Chapala.com. I find it amusing that people are still starting new threads, Cluelessly, hoping for responses when the forum is so obviously not working at this time.

Clueless did announce that he is leaving this board.  It could be a match made in heaven.

As to the problems on TOB, I was told a few years ago that he who runs the real estate company (no to name names) haveth no understanding of internet matters and therefore is slow to fund what is needed.

As to TOB in general, one does not know when another crisis may occur when one needs a webboard. It is great to have more than one, sort of like having a backup generator.

I wanted to join that board. Looks like they could be out of business for a while.

One recent post by her said that Inside Lakeside was easy to sneak back into but she has lost interest. We'll see.
