I stopped over at the thrift shop in Riberas across from the 7-11 and saw a couple of copes there. I went in to dro some stuff off.

The shop had been burgler (burglary, here called "robbed") and the police were taking a report.

One of my items had been taken. Such is life.

The interesting part is that I saw the lock that had been broken. While the sank was probably hardened, the body of the lock was made of pot-metal which will whatter if hit with a hammer a couple of times. The bad guys, had simply put a wrench or such into the shank and torqued it and the pot-metal body had broken apart, nice and clean as could be.

Lesson to be learned: "A lock is only as good as its weakest part."

There was a home robbery in Chapala Centro today or last night also. It was the home of a wealthy Mexican.
