SWARM 21

Was really great to see you all again and especially you and Jeremy, Jim. Catch a big one!

This is the only one I have that is different from yours Jim.

Thanks to everyone that came out yesterday. Augustine did an amazing job on the buffet. We had 41 people which I believe is a new record for swarm attendance.

Those are great pics, guys! Looks like a good time and good eating, two of my favorite things. Me and Mr. Thang would like to make it to a swarm one of these days but it's hard to commit to plans during the work week. Maybe next time.

What a fabulous event. My husband, Ron (We're in the first picture with Shannon aka Natbug and Michael) and I enjoyed meeting all of you, especially you Jim...sorry that we didn't get a chat with Jeremy. Augustin, once again, outdid himself. Many thanks to Bob and Simpsca for organizing it.

Yep!   Everybody wants to be on his guest list       ......  Well, except for a few people up in Canuck land.

I had planned to come and had signed up but a last minute hitch threw a monkey wrench into it. So sorry I missed it.

Thanks for arranging this. We enjoyed the visit and food... great options on the buffet, so we got to sample some things we've never tried!

I liked Simpsca and Jim's idea of everyone introducing themselves and giving their Board name.

Great icebreaker for new members and it really helps us old folks who forget who everyone is in between Swarms!

I'll have to admit, I don't know Bennie. I'm very glad that he/she (is it a she?) and "TomSteele" have been stirring the pot, though... hopefully more interest will attract more funds for Cruz Roja. And I'd just LOVE if somebody does show up with a wheelbarrow to protest. Anybody, actually... I think it would be a hoot!

I understand some folks from the area might be planning to thwart our next showing of "Thriller in Ajijic," even though it's for a very good cause. There is talk of a wheelbarrow brigade trying to block attendees from viewing this fine film... something to do with religious opposition to Zombies, witch doctors and bare bottoms. I think they're concerned that the Cruz Roja doctors are spending too much time trying to cure Ajijic's dancing dead.

Or something like that.

It sure would be nice if Inside Lakeside could field a team of pushers (wheelbarrows, that is) to Swarm the protesters in an effort to keep them from disrupting a great entertainment event designed to raise funds for Cruz Roja!

I´m in! I do not have a wheelbarrow but could probably borrow one. I think the Swarmers need arm bands with red crosses on them so we do not get mixed up with the protesters. Maybe we can practice some precision pushing before hand so that we look really cool. As only a bunch of old people wearing arm bands and pushing wheelbarrows can look cool.

Sounds great! Those of us who worked on the film project appreciate the support. Hopefully the Forces of Good will be able to overpower any naysayer negative vibes.

By the way, I've started a separate topic for continued discussion of the Wheelbarrow Protest... I don't want to hijack the Swarm thread, since it was such a wonderful event and deserves to have further discussion of its own and sharing of photos.

So they are going to stop people from going to the movie???? With a wheelbarrow???? I don't think so. Now I will be going just to cross the picket line screaming at the top of my lungs. They will move laugh out loud they will move. This is just absurd and could be fun!
