Driver problem Empty Driver problem

Post by Lady Otter Latté Sun Aug 17, 2014 12:35 pm

My computer is not recognizing my digital camera when I try to download pictures. Troubleshooting resulted in : "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)." Of course when I google that I get drowned in a wave of geek speak. Any ideas on the simplest things to try before calling in the cavalry?

¿Did you install the software, that came with the unidentified camera?

Driver problem Empty Re-install camera driver.

Try re-installing the driver that came with the camera. Highly likely that the current installed driver has become corrupted.

Usually you don't need a driver. I would try another USB cable or USB port

Try using camera as external hard drive and not use program?

That is what I had to do with my new Ipod, I used the USB directly into the computer and it is now recognizing it.
