Re: Stay in and vote!
To address the majority of concerns regarding this poll (Most Valuable Web Resource), it is important to take into consideration the total amount of votes received. This poll category has gained considerable attention and really has become quite the attraction.
This is the people's poll; every vote counts but as the numbers rise a single vote will have less and less impact. Just keep on voting.
No special treatment or privilege has been given to any of the participants. Inside Lakeside has done a fantastic job thanks to all the members' dedication. btw you're in a close 2nd.
The results are up to you. The winner is to be determined...

I do not believe that the votes for TOB are not weighted. My own experiment has shown a vote for the other site registers more of an increase.
Whatever. I hope Bucky has a good home. *sobs quietly*

Hopefully the integrity of their other businesses is not a reflection of this sham of a voting system. The votes are most definatley weighted against us. Strange how Chapala has died down and now MexCon has taken off and neither of those sites has promoted anything to their members. Seems pretty obvious to me what's going on.......jaja.

There is still hope for the ponies.
How do you get on the site without logging in to vote? Is logging in thru our link on inside Lakeside the problem?

Jim, I just click on the link and vote. The site doesn't ask me to log in.
I don't think that the site administrators are manipulating the votes, they just aren't those kind of people. Ive known them and been friends with them for a long time and I can't see them intentionally stacking the votes or doing anything unfair, anyone else who knows them would say the same , I think.
On the other hand something does seem to be off and I can totally see how someone could figure out a way to get in a lot of votes every day if they really wanted to and something does seem to be off. I mean, if there was chatter about it on C.com or the other site like there is here but there isn't .

Re: Stay in and vote!
This morning I voted, and the vote registered. Debbie went on line this afternoon, tried to vote, and the site said she had already voted. SOOOO, only 1 of us have been able to vote the same day. We have our own lap tops, and share IP address. Our Ip hasn't changed over the past 10 months?
TIA, Jim

Venturing a guess, I'd say the site administrators by their vote counting method, specifically: "every vote counts but as the numbers rise a single vote will have less and less impact."
I'd love to know the reasoning or the how and why of that decision.

Might chill the voting. We gave clients links or a slip of paper with a link saying vote for us but having to login may be too much for the casual internet user or older person who may not wish to go through two to three steps to vote

I just tried to vote using the link here as I have been doing. It asked me to log in with user and password or open an account.
I will not be doing that.

C.com is already dropping some points. Maybe now we will see true results. This our chance to catch up!

Yes, it would seem they have "fixed the problem". Signing up was quick and easy. No harder than signing up here.
