Definition of cholo

It seems to be becoming more like the areas north and south of the border with Texas.
More and more we hear about crimes committed by 'cholos' with dual citizenship. Is it a trend, or just happenstance? What next? Lizzy

These kids are not cholos. They're brothers who were once in LIA because they have no parents. It's a very unfortunate situation. Many folks here know them. I don't know where they went wrong, but they did. I feel sorry for them and their unfortunate victims.

I googled it but still don't know what LOA is. Anything like Love in Action?

So what's the definition of a cholo? And these boys would be.......?

How about 'wise guy', or hood, punk, thug, criminal, delinquent. Person who commits a crime against a person. Something like that. Lizzy

Yep or ganster can be used.

So "cholo" works. Actions speak louder than words, and what these "boys" did to Alan was not an accident.
What they did was commit acts normally attributed to gangsters. They committed murder. "Cholo" is a gross understatement.
Also, many of the "punks" to which David refers are not from NOB... they have dual citizenship and pass back and forth frequently and with impunity. Lizzy

As I said... I was referring to the punks operating in the areas in and around the border with Texas. Both sides of the border. Lizzy
