My Dog Killed

Yesterday, I pickup truck came to a stop and then proceeded to pass over my dog twice with no evidence of remorse as I continued to scream for them to stop. Then they drove off leaving me alone with a mortally wounded dog. How do I find out who they are by using the vehicle license plate?

So sorry for the loss of you dog and in such a horrible way.

Theere is a transito office in Ixtlahuacan but if dogs were not on a leash and were in street then you may have no case. Dogs should be leashed and unleashed dogs in a public roadway will be hurt or killed sooner or later, animals dont obey, I see it alot with my inlaws, many close calls and still every excuse not to leash them.

That's a very good point.

Yves for Yves Restaurant told us how this happened with a big black SUV with tinted windows in front of his old house. One of his little dogs was out and the SUV ran over it even though they saw it and Yves yelled at them to stop. Some Mexicans seem not to care about animals (or people) and kill for their perceived pleasure. Sickos.

Spencer:  Wold this hold true for a fraccionamiento as well?  Do you know where in Ixrlahuacan transito is located?  Is it the same as Ministerio Publico?

about a year ago my wife was walking our 3 dogs on leash when an unleashed dog was going to attack them and a mexican ran over the dog to protect my wife and our 3 little ones. thank you!

It's tough to be an animal in Mexico. This is one of the toughest things to live with here, at least for us.

Someone who's soul that was destroyed so bad that the only thing left for them is to inflict hurt and pain to anything or anyone.

Probably a lot of them....but some are born that way. I saw a five year old boy put kittens under the rockers on his mother's rocking chair.

Sociopaths. Studies show it is a short distance from abusing/killing animals to doing the same to people.

Joyful: I am sorry to have caused you grief with this sad story. But I had to vent and gather information. Show your pets love and affection every day as you never know that it will be possible for either of you tomorrow.

I am so sorry for your tragic loss. Our pets/ our mascotas are our furkids. In the same place - sorry, I wouldn't pursue it. Keep your pets behind your walls. Pursue it, sorry, they know where you live. They do not care. Get it.

border: I have no walls other than for the house. I have no fence. This is a rural area. I am now 77 and really do not care about consequences. If I do not seek justice, if I do not speak for Foxxy, who will? The leash law has created an open season for dogs and that is a bad unintended consequence that should be changed. You can now kill dogs wit impunity. But woe betide whosoever injures or kills a member of my family, the only family I have left.

This has been horrifying to read, I cannot imagine what it was like to live through it and I do feel your pain and anguish.

Please give us the description of the driver, the truck and plate number so we may watch for it and protect our pets from the same fate. Someone may know who and where this person lives and can also make that information public.
