Maradi Grass Parade

About to start on the main st. In chapala...woohoo!

They would be a wee bit previous.
Mardi Gras is not until March 4th.  

Maradi grass? Something new?   

No matter what you call it...it was a chump-ass parade.

Wasn't that just the start of carnival?

How good is the car show? Are the babes hot?

Did you hear the Banda start up at 1am? I was in a dead sleep and was jolted out of bed by it. I was then able to lull back to sleep until some neighborhood dog started non-stop barking. Even though the music was loud, I'd still prefer that to the sound of dogs bark bark barking. Then, at around 4:45am, some drunk jackasses parked their car across from my building and were blasting music. 11 more nights of this.

The dogs will get used to it...just like we humans do.

Oh, so there really was music in the middle of the night! I woke up thinking I heard music but while I was trying to figure out if I was dreaming or of there really was music, I fell back to sleep.

yes there was. It was actually pretty quiet until 1am. It doesn't bother me, and I'm not really bothered by it from last night, I was just startled awake. I was surprised at just how clearly I could hear the lead singer speaking to the crowd.

Mardi Grass..thank you auto correct. Carnaval kick off parade . The best part was a herd of children attacking a guy dressed in a costume like Dr. Simi wears. He was throwing candy, fell over , couldn't get up and the kids totally mauled him. It was hysterical.

Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday in French. It is the day before Ash Wednesday on the Catholic calendar and ends the 12 days of revelry that precede the 40 days of Lent.
