So instead of my alarm clock waking me up, my home was circled by military helicopters around 7am.  Apparently they burned buses early this morning and the military is going after someone big near Patria and Vallarta.  Nothing was on the new this morning but Twitter had reports.

Now the news shows they went after people a few blocks from my home, there goes the neighborhood.

A friend reports

Federal Police in the entrance and exit of the highway to Ocatlan with armored vehicles.  Entrance to the airport had police also coming from Chapala.

All the news outlets are now reporting the capture of "El Menchito", son of "El Mencho", head of the CJNG and three others after the military operation in Zapopan. The burning of the vehicles is the preordained and automatic response of the underlings of the organization to cause havoc and teach the government a lesson for aprehending their patrones.
Not too effective, in the long run.

The old "my enemy's enemy, is my friend", but it could have consequences.
500K US is not a bad day's work....will pay for the operation.
