Usually around 40 to 50 pesos per kilo for frozen birds (not smoked), at the various supers.

Re: Turkey Prices
While it may have been a descent from Hungarian cooking it wasn't decent Hungarian cooking. Probably why they're no longer there.

Re: Turkey Prices
we enjoyed it . i even gave them some real hungarian hot paprika from the hungarian smokehouse in edmonton for their goulash when we ordered that. unfortunately the gringos here didn't like it hot.
likes/dislikes fer food is subjective, ain't it. having grown up on austro/hungarian cooking,i found their presentation more than adequate. she was a slovak and he a hungarian.

Re: Turkey Prices
Since my four grandparents had immigrated from Eastern Europe, I grew up eating food similar to what the Hungarian restaurant served. I ate there several times and they well prepared the dishes they made. But, that type of food is certainly an acquired taste. Their prices were on the higher end also and that did not help. I never could get anyone to go back there with me a second time. There are too many restaurants serving more familiar food.
