#1 by Reader's Choice Survey in CONDE NAST TRAVELER magazine??????

I had no idea that there were that many screwed up people who could actually read the magazine and participate in a survey. That has to be one of the biggest jokes I have ever read in a travel magazine.

"San Miguel de Allende
Readers' Choice Rating: 84.6

San Miguel de Allende nabbed the No. 1 spot thanks to its "great atmosphere, excellent restaurants, culture and ambiance galore." The "lack of street lights and billboards" makes the region "romantically and historically beautiful, and the city itself offers a "traditional feeling of a small town in the heart of Mexico." "An amazing place to be.""

That is proof that the whole rating is a joke or the readership is a joke, not sure which one but somewhere there , there is a joke. Pretty city but not a world city to say the least..

When Salzburg was ranked 7th, Rome ranked 8th, Vancouver 13th, Kyoto 14th, Victoria 17th, Sydney tied for 17th, Santa Fe, NM tied for 17th and Paris ranked 22nd, the something is screwy!

Did they mention the air pollution? It is a health crisis in the making.

Great one Brigitte! We visited San Miguel's twin (Santa Fe) yesterday and the same could be said for it. Far too many Georgia O'Keeffe and "urban cowboy" look-a-likes and the gallery/business district has been taken over by merchants from the Middle East and Asia.
