Update FROM Charlie K

Dear Friends and Family,

I am not including every one we know in the Western Hemisphere, so
please pass this on to all and sundry (especially sundry). I am aware
that Ann has been keeping y'all well informed while I was under the
influence of heavy meds and not too aware of much. Now I am alert and
dictating this to Ann.

Over the last 8 days, both Ann and our wonderful Dr. Flores have been
keeping me informed of what happened and about my present condition. I
am quite pleased about how things are going, especially when I realize
how much worse things could have been. Yesterday I was moved from
Intensive Care to a private room (junior suite) and Ann has been with
me ever since; sleeping on the couch in my room last night. The staff
have been extremely kind, competent and effective, and I feel truly
cared for. I have a bar above my bed, so I can exercise my arms and
shift my butt around a bit. I am in no pain- except when they have to
move me and that is tolerable pain and not too frequent.

As of now, we would welcome visitors. Hours are not limited, nor are there limits on the number of people in the room.
