TONY'S Restaurant Review
A group of people took us to Tony's restaurant yesterday afternoon for a farewell dinner. Or maybe it was a "good riddance" dinner in disguise, LOL. We all ordered different items. Some had Fajitas, others had special salads, but many of us ordered BBQ Ribs which Tony's is famous for, or maybe it will soon be used to be famous for.
It was the worst meal I have ever had there. The portion of ribs was exactly "one half" of what you used to get. Even more disappointung was that they changed the BBQ sauce from a savory delicious sauce to a tomato based product that looked like ketchup poured straight from the bottle. The potato was undercooked too.
I had cheesecake for dessert and it was good.

Re: TONY'S Restaurant Review
Hi John,
I noticed that the last time I ate at Tony's the portion of ribs was much smaller. It puzzles me that when times are difficult and business is slow many of the restauranteurs begin to cut corners on quality, portion, etc. which further harms their business. Or, they let their kitchen staff go to save money.
My biggest complaint with lakeside restaurants is consistency. They seem to forget what it was that built their business in the first place.
John, I believe that this is the first review of yours that was negative so it has extra impact on me. We will miss your informed reviews.

Don't have to worry about that. I get authentic Italian at home all the time. We don't eat at the faux Italian restaurants at Lakeside because they cannot compare.

Re: TONY'S Restaurant Review
Unfortunately I didn't read John's latest review on Tony's ribs until just now.
Made the big mistake of having them with some friends earlier this afternoon.
Nice plate of 5 - 6 ribs, french fries, vegetable for 114 pesos. That's less than $ 9 USD
No, I didn't take a doggie bag home, but was full and had a nice meal.
Didn't notice any difference in the sauce and it definitely wasn't catsup or Ketchup.
I don't claim to be the connoisseur John is, but Tony's is just fine by me.
