Solar energy providers ... Adios CFE

We bought from ESUN, 766-2319, next door to Walmart in SAT. Our bill as of today was 156 pesos for 2 months running the economical pool pump and all the fans in the house day and night. We have a back up generator from Costco or Sam's Club, never can tell when our power will go out for no reason hehe

I have lived off grid and batteries are a huge expense and a pain in the butt
compared to a grid tie system. I had 1000 Kwh worth of batteries and they
lasted about five years and I only brought them down 25% before recharging
to make them last longer. If I would have brought them down 50% I probably
would have only got four years out of them. Oh yea the four 250Kwh Concorde
AGM 12V batteries cost about $2KUSD fifteen year ago. So that is $400 USD
per year for batteries. I skipped the wet batteries by using AGM (Absorbent
glass mat, like optima type ) batteries and still use them down here. Cheapest
batteries are for example Trojan (battery brand name) 6 volt wet batteries from
tow motors or golf carts but than you get into battery maintenance and
hydrogen output from charging which I did not want to deal with so I bought
AGM batteries.

Last year we took a 9 week road trip to Seattle to escape the heat here this time of year. This year we installed solar through Esun and put a mini split air conditioner in our bedroom. The installation of solar and a/c is way less expensive then our trip was. The big plus is that it will last for years to come with low, low CFE bills. Matt at ESun could not be more helpful.

Any suggestions on generator "brand name:, other than Honda. Yes, I know and like Honda products, just need a small generator for the fridge.

I believe I saw a smaller, very reasonably priced one at either Costco or Home Depot. I didn't get the brand name.
