Want to buy good working Xerox Documate scanner w/Paperport.
Must have part # 85-022-100 or higher to work with Windows 7.
I'll consider another high speed scanner w/paperport 9.0 or higher.
Please PM me.
Thanks.

Re: Want to buy good working Xerox Documate scanner w/Paperport.
I see I wasn't clear. I have an older model 510 now and I use one very rarely so don''t need to pay hundreds for a new one.
I'm looking for one that is high-speed (8-10 PPM), document feeder and flatbed and hopefully with Paperport (but I have that if the software doesn't include it).
Thanks.

My HP Office Jet has a document feeder. Why would you need 6-10 pages a minute if you only use it occasionally? We are retired do we care about speed? You will pay about 500.00 pesos for as used Office Jet which is a printer also. I have not seen a Xerox scanner in Mexico. Stand alone scanners are about passe now we have multifunction printers.

Can never know what the software will be. PaperPort is not provided with very many scanners.
Have not seen any "high speed" scanners in Guad. Any inkjet multi-function will work, just not high speed. Older scanners may not have the proper drivers for Windows 7 and 8, especially 64-bit versions. I had to buy a new one a few months ago to replace a perfectly good Epson.
If it's XP and it worked before, then uninstalling and reinstalling is the first step. If that doesn't work, it is most likely that a Windows system file is no longer properly responding, and unfortunately reinstalling Windows from scratch is often the only solution... it's almost impossible to track down problem system files. Doing a System Restore might work if the scanner was working recently.

No, the Epson website has drivers only for Windows 7 32-bit; I switched to 64-bit. This Epson is at least 15 years old.
I have installed several pieces of scanner software that include their own drivers, to no avail. It was inevitable. The new little Canon scanner works fine.

Yes, for some. There are drivers available for my Xerox Documate 510 to work w/Windows 7 but only if it's part number is 85-022-100 or above. My part # is 084- I tried from the Xerox site to use an 085 driver and it won't work.
Do you have an older one available?
