El Chili Verde

A little hole in the wall with only 3 tables, but the food is cooked fresh for each customer and very good. It is on Hidalgo between Colon and Juarez (just off the Plaza and a few doors down from the 60's Paradise). They serve tacos, combination plates, and chilis rellenos, and the agua fresca is VERY fresh (we ordered more than they had so they went next door to the fruteria and got more fruit to make enough). They are very friendly there and El Chili Verde has become our favorite place to take new friends.

We've made 3 attempts to try this place, unfortunately, all 3 tables were occupied by a single patron.   Food must be pretty good, but, they gotta find a solution for 3 tables set for 4.  and serving only 3 people.....just sayin.

Darn. Now everybody knows.

Sad thing is this is the slow season, probably try again next month.

El Chili Verde -- haven't they relocated to Colon, across from the Plaza just above Hildalgo? If so, have several more tables. Super fresh and tasty preparations.
