Gasoline Prices to Rise in 2011

The government has announced that gasoline prices will continue a slow monthly increase in 2011. The announcement said Mexico is among the countries with cheaper gasoline prices in the world.
Today the price of a liter of Magna is 8.60 pesos.

The equivalent price of a liter of Magna (regular) in Los Angeles is 10.18 pesos and New York is equivalent to 9.19 pesos. In the USA the average is 8.86. In the United Kingdom and Germany, the equivalent price of a liter of Magna is 22.1 pesos, in Italy it is 21.7 pesos, France and Brazil it is 18.28 pesos

Soon it will be cheaper to drive in the US than Mexico.
The RV Parks are already as or more expensive than NOB. That's food for thought.
Does anybody think that this might put another crimp in the tourism industry? They sure don't need that. Lizzy

I didn't think that all that many tourists drove in Mexico...

From a Canadian standpoint, I think most fly to their destinations and " veg out " at their all inclusive beach resorts & golf courses...

Certainly have seen Canadian Plates... but I'de betcha the Mexico Or Bust canuck drivers wouldn't amount to more than 1%...

No doubt many more Across The River yankees though!!

Well, that may be the case where you are, but last winter a whole lot of our neighbors had Canukian plates on their rigs. I think it's a helluva long way to drive too, but them RVers are a determined lot. Lizzy

The vast majority of snowbirds from Canada drive down here. I know one couple from Nova Scotia that keep a car here, but the majority of the Ontario, Alberta, and BC plates we see here now are snowbirds.

I would define a tourist as someone who visits somewhere for a break from his or hers everyday routine... meaning their jobs, families, lives...
not exactly the same kinda folks who leave a vehicle down there for the next time round...

I belive Spencer referred to em as someone with lamp shades on their heads, diving off balconies... lol
