The most romantic songs I have ever heard are whatever those mariachis sang when my husband hired them to stand under our balcony on the morning of my 40 something birthday. I woke up to this...and it was amazing!

Well, on my birthday they played Las Mananitas of course but I don't remember what else and I don't think I have any mariachi faves...but once I was riding my horse on the beach in front of the old posada and this mariachi guy came over and started talking to me . He said he wanted to play a song for me ...so he asks what my horses name is ( Gustavo) and he belts out this very passionate and dramatic song about me and my horse right there , totally improvised just like that. It was awesome...a gift unexpected but always remembered.
I have several mariachi stories....
"El Niño perdido" is a very cool mariachi song, especially the first time you hear it.
