Is that a very recent trip you made? I heard there is some road construction. Someone had told me 4 - 5 hours.

Three and a half hours if you have one pit stop no longer than 15 minutes.
If you can make it all the way.........you have a good bladder or no morning coffee. lol. (This is driving on the cuotas.)

Four hours, if you dawdle or run into one of those massive construction projects.
But what the hell.........we have time.
Very Happy

The cuota is faster, but the free road is a lot more interesting.

Yeah, Atenquique is an undiscovered paradise. If you like mill towns.

Actually the scenery is just as good on the cuota.

The free road could be highway 80 but it's an hour from Melaque to Manz making it about 5 hours. Going the cuota via Colima takes me three hours and construction waits in "the canyon" are seldom more than 10 minutes
