My experience and recommendation for a computer store in Ajijic Empty My experience and recommendation for a computer store in Ajijic

I needed a connector for my security system and went to a relatively new place in Ajijic.

Showed a picture of what I needed and was told they could order it from Guadalajara. I said fine and was told I would be called.

I email the next day asking if they could get the part and they replied they could. Cost would be $30 or 2 for $50.

The above sounded very good as I had found a "sort of" one that might have worked at a security shop in Chapala but they wanted $130 for it and that was too much, especially knowing if it would work.

To be sure the new place had what I wanted, I emaild them a picture and they got right back to me confirming that was it.

Anyway, very good service and communication. The shop is light on stock items and I think does more work on computers than sales of things like paper and other accessories, but if there is a demand, I'm sure they will try to meet it.

English speaking guys and looking to help. Worth a visit.

Store is: BENNO Computer Solutions. Carretera Oriente (main drag in Ajijic) Half block West from OXXO on the lake side of street.

Hours 1030 to 1730 Monday through Thursday. Phone: (376) 766-5933

Above is just my opinion and experience.

Yes, we have had very good luck with Benno also. They are putting in a free wi-fi area with a little cafe if you want some goodies to eat.

We also have had good experiences with them. Right after Miguel took over the shop, he came to the house and figured out a workaround for my husband's finicky lazier printer. Still working like a champ.

Benno's did a great job for us last month, diagnosed network problems as a bad router (well, it was really old and running so hot that it melted a plastic finish on a shelf), and tested a laptop which could no longer find the wireless network, THAT was due to hard drive corruption. Now have new wireless router and new hard drive, and use Google Chrome instead of IE. All better, and not that expensive.

Good to hear good things about Benno's. I had Benno and his brother do some work some time ago and was hoping the new operators would follow in his shoes.

Don't forget our own Helperguy is in the computer support business and since
he wouldn't honk his own horn I will do it for him. I recommend Benno's and
HelperGuy for computer work around here. Both are priced fair for the skill levels
they have.
