Another infection from the pool
Beware of the Racquet Club Pool, second infection. I don't think they will ever get it right. Only way is safe to go down to the beautiful pool with a spray bottle of water, if you want some sun.

Re: Another infection from the pool
I've followed that thread on TOB. Someone said they were heating the pool for only 30 people, some of whom don't live there? HUH? Izzat so?
Sounds like they need to fill the pool and put in a patio instead of wasting the scarce water.

That's uncalled for. Report it to the BOD to see if they do anything.
If you don't get results report them to the Government, Secretary de Salud.

Re: Another infection from the pool
John, e-Raq had been all over the BOD and the problems with the pool for MONTHS. She is at her wits end about it and it's making her seriously cranky.
Something is very wrong with that pool. Either they're not putting enough chlorine in it, not testing it properly or the source of the water is arriving badly contaminated or the sand in the filter is badly contaminated or ?????
Hopefully, they will get to the bottom of the problem because a lot of people are getting infections from that pool.

Backflush the sand filters. Shock the pool and filters after the backflush. Test
for Chlorine AND PH. Wrong PH can make things bad also. Improper PH allows
certain things to grow. For example in Ajijic water is a little to base so I have
to add acid to get the right PH.
This is not brain surgery. Something is wrong. Anybody with second rate pool
skills should be able to fix this sorry to say.

Re: Another infection from the pool
Just a suggestion, hoping for comments, should it be a bad idea. Years ago when I had a pool in my home in the US, I had to do all of the maintenance to include checking the PH and Chlorine level myself because I couldn't afford to pay someone else to do it, like we do down here. So I know how to do it and how easy it is to do.
Would it be a good idea to bring your small test kit from home with you (should you have one) and check those two levels?
Or has that already been done?

Just finished filling it today... a lot of smaller landscaping jobs left to do.... I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT RAYMONDO BLAS PINEDA!! I've spent 6 weeks watching 8 men construct an elevated patio, a pool, solar heating and wire everything for lighting... all worked smoothly without a single hitch!!
I am thoroughly IMPRESSED...
Thanx for the recommendation John.
Anyone thinking of spending large cash to do Renos on your Property....
Raymondo is absolutely worth considering!
and.... if you need to see his craftmanship... PM me for the address... yer welcome to have a look
just bring beer!!

I have two seperate Maestro's, Raymondo Blas and Alejandro Gutierrez, doing different projects on my property right now. Alejandro's crew is doing my main casa reno's and Raymondo's crew is re & re ing my pool. I may also get Raymondo's crew to do some work on one of my casitas as Alejandro's crew will be fully occupied with my main house for quite a few more weeks.

Raymundo is the go to guy for very reasonable prices and quality work. All types of construction including electrical and plumbing. I use him for all my stuff and I hire him for all the Condo stuff since I'm in charge of Facilities Maintenance here.
Bob, next time you exit LAS, look at our Arroyo, left side up to the north and to the right. On the right he did both new walls and the arroyo floor.
He's always busy, but well worth waiting for. Has between 20 - 30 guys working.
His uncle is Enrique Pineda, best painter in Ajijic who guarantees his work.

I will choose my "go to" guy based on what I see from my own projects.

A computerized pixel Mural done with smaller tiles and the installers custom cut the regular blue tiles all around
The Mural is nearly 7ft across.

That concrete swimming hole at the racquet club is a perfect setup for Tom Mabe's toxic lake prank!

Thanks everyone
Thanks to everyone for suggestions...all have been tried by many people here over the years, think someone has to die before real action takes place...trying not to be grumpy but realistic. In the mean time, going to buy a kiddies pool for the back yard. Thanks again
