Wow, that's a lot of fine cowboys that have passed on! I watched the whole thing and it brought back some great memories. I think that perhaps the last cowboy standing will be Clint Eastwood...remember Rawhide?
Ah well, I can always reread all of Louie Lamour's books.

Great video. My favorite newer western is "Open Range" with Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall.

My fave when I was little was Hopalong Cassidy. Had to have the lunchbox and thermos, too.

I got to see Roy Rogers at Madison Square Garden when I was 6 or so, shook his hand, didn't wash it for a week. I was star struck. Lizzy

And I got to see Roy and Dale in Abilene, Texas -- when they showcased the Lipizzaner Stallions at the Taylor County Fairgrounds. I filmed the occasion with my 8mm camera, but I didn't get to shake his/her hand. Bummer!

Hey! Remember "Cat Ballou"? and "Paint Your Wagon"? Two outrageously funny movies, and great westerns too. Lizzy
