Thanks Sparks, I posted this on another forum w/ more exposure to get some feedback. If I like what I hear I am going to try it and will report back.

IMO this is a POS. I have put it onto a PC and a Laptop. Now both of the Ethernet ports are messed up. Tried uninstalling and still not working. Having to use wifi on the laptop and the PC has no connectivity outside of the LAN... Not sure what has happened. Might have to re-image...

Re: Software router for Windows
Not sure how but it looks like it locked up the WAN port on my router. Rebooted router and all is well...

Re: Software router for Windows
Well I have better results but I think I will still give it two thumbs down. Not necessarily because of the program but because of the limitations of the program and device. I only use WIFI for netbooks, phones, and sum times laptops. If I can hard-line it I will (more secure). As such none of my PC's have WIFI. My problem is, most laptops disable the WIFI when you plug in an Ethernet. Connectify does not appear to have a work around for this, thus this program will not work with my laptops... If I had multiple WAN's that I wanted to aggregate, or if I wanted to research a halk, or if I wanted to dedicate a PC to set in a garage… I might be able to justify the $59 but I don't. So I have no need for this program… It’s cool but not to where it needs to be for the price they are asking IMO. They need to have it work on a laptop.
4.2 might work but I'm not going to pay to test...

I've been playing with this for a month or so--version 3.7. It works pretty well for me using a wireless card in a desktop. It's a snap to set up.

Re: Software router for Windows
Update: So not wanting to completely give up on this, I decided to grab an external USB WIFI dongle and give it another go. I’m happy to report that, in this configuration, this program does seem to perform its function well. I was able to setup a hotspot using the external WIFI and my Ethernet as the backbone. I was also pleased to find that I was able to setup a hotspot (repeater) using the external WIFI and the internal WIFI as the backbone (Ethernet disconnected). I’m not able to test the aggregation because I don’t have the full version. So at this point I would be willing to give it one thumb up but I still think it is over priced. IMO the PRO dispatch and Hotspot should sell for around $30. And they still need to find a workaround for laptops that disable the WIFI when the Ethernet is plugged in. So their ya go…

Re: Software router for Windows
Oh one more thing. It looks like this program only does ad hoc. So unless you know how to get your smart phone or tablet to work on ad hoc, mobile users are SOL...
