You can order online and have it delivered via Estafeta. Save a trip to the city.

Disclaimer: I know from nothing about extending routers, etc.

However, I ran across a discussion on another forum where the poster claimed that he had success in Patzcuaro using:

Yes, powerlines are an alternative. It's been a couple of years since I tested any, and they were awful then. They are purportedly better now. I have seen any for purchase down here.

Nope all preterminated cat 5/6. I want a box of cat 5/6 cable and a box
of RG6 coax. Just wire nothing more. Very common item NOB rare down
here. Guess I will go see Rod and see if he will sell me a box.

Let me see if I understand. You know the items are here but you say they are rare items here because you are afraid to drive in Guadalajara?

BTW, the links I posted are for buying online. There isn't anywhere to drive to there.

OK Seisdedos I want to see the wire. I want to put my hands on it. I don't want
to buy XXX numbers of feet of wire without checking it out. Wire is not
created equally. Some Cat wire can be burried some can't. As far as Coax I
tend to avoid copper coated steel. It helps to see it.

I have driven 10K miles in Mexico but I have not driven in Central Guad. I don't
think I am safe so shouldn't I listen to myself and not endanger other
people? Each time I go to Guad we go in farther and drive around so we have
a sense of where we are and whats around. Time I will be driving in Guad but
now its better to stay out of the worst of it.

Geez! Testosterone at work. Give it a rest.
Honestly Zed and Helperguy, you both owe Seisdedos an apology. He did find you what you were looking for and no driving was involved.
The explanation of "gotta feel it and see it", I understand completely but it was proffered AFTER the fact...and, quite honestly, I wouldn't have bothered searching to help if I had known that in advance.

Sorry, ferret. You know I respect you and your opinions. But this guy has always been judgmental and nasty, and he will continue to be. He was rude to Zed and talked down to him. He needed to be told, and I told him. If there is one thing I cannot abide it is trolls and lurkers, just waiting to jump out and castigate someone.

Troll and lurker? When I give advice you can take it to the bank, butt nugget. Unlike you whose friend "had to bring everything in from the US" and Zed with his bullshit about these items being "rare" here and can't even figure out links to online suppliers and then spins his bullshit about having to feel them. You 2 are phonier than the figurines they peddle at Monte Alban.

I asked a simple question. Where can I get a box of cat 5/6 and Coax RG6 lakeside. Well you can't so it is rare to me. I have tried mail ordering and found the
shipping was expensive and the parts were crap. I want to lay my hands on it. I don't want to ship. What is so freaking wrong with that. I never knew this was
a court case and I had to give evidence. You can't get the shit lakeside, Home depot doesn't have it, office depot doesn't have it and one steren store I went
into doesn't have it. It feaking rare to me. I not pulling anybodies wires. I asked a guestion and telling me it is the middle of Guad doesn't help me. I think
I am a good driver and have not had a ticket or accident since I was 18 years old but I know my limitations and I am not ready for Guad center.

So thanks for all the help folks and next time I will have my wife the lawyer ask the questions so none of you will get upset.

Will you stop treating people like they are stupid!!! I tried mail ordering. The first time they shipped the wrong part. The second time the parts didn't fit into the
sockets they were suppose to. Many of the parts down here are crap. You assumed I had not tried to mail order I have, so back off bad human being. Others
agree with me and ship down there Cat connectors rather than use the crap ones sold locally. Oh yea we do talk to each other down here. If you don't like me
why not ignore me than say the stupid ignorant things that you said. You find bullshit in everything even where it does not exist. I have respect for someone
who corrects me. I am one of the few people here who will stand to be corrected. You need to be corrected as you don't know shit about me or what I am doing
here and why and frankly it is none of your business why I won't drive into Guad and I am sorry my reason doesn't meet your obsolete concept of manhood or
some crappy opinion like that.

Sorry I know I am a moderator and should not say this but this is ridiculous especially from someone who has a poor record of acting like a decent human being.
