Auto Permit
When our friend passed, we discovered he had no sticker as his windshield had been replaced....yet the sticker documents are in the glove box.
1997 jeep, 4 door has 90k miles new rubber, VGC, probably worth $2000-$2500 USD, Oregon plates. If we take it to the border, get new plates, registration, etc., can the new owner get a new sticker in his name @ the border? Does Mexico track vehicles by title, license plate and registration? If so now problem, however VIN # may create issues? I'd hate to sell it to someone, only to have a problem @ point of entry.
Thank You, Jim W

Re: Auto Permit
We can get a sticker for the new owner without the need to go to the border, no problem as long as new person has no other vehicles imported. nobody should drive the vehicle as is as it can be impounded as the importer died and the permit is expired I am assuming.
