Getting to the new bus station in Guad.
Are there any workable alternatives to paying ~450 pesos (one way) for a cab from Lakeside to the new bus station in Guad from which most of the long-distance buses seem to depart? A 900-1000 peso roundtrip just to get on the bus makes driving start to look mighty attractive, but we'd rather take ETN if we can.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Take the bus to Guadalajara. Get off at the first stop. Take a cab to the new bus station. 35 pesos for the bus and probably be 60 for the taxi.

Thanks for this papa chango. What does the "first stop" look like (landmarks)? I take it you mean the first stop within the city rather than on the outskirts - just want to be sure. Sounds perfect otherwise - thanks again.

By the way vivaaerobus can have real deals. I bought a bunch of tickets for 1700 pesos Tuxtla GDL , GDL Tuxtla in 1h 30mn
The bus was 2300 pesos and the trip 20 hours
Interjet was 6200 pesos and AeroMexico over 7000pesos. it pays to shop around-

If you look to your left there is a KFC that is where you need to get off and you will see the taxi's to your right.

This should be the correct "street view" of the area where the bus stops:

You can spot the taxi stand on the right. Here is a link to the location:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Tlaquepaque,+JAL,+Mexico&hl=en&ll=20.620133,-103.321513&spn=0.002535,0.004823&sll=35.08241,-106.676479&sspn=0.281511,0.617294&oq=T&hnear=Tlaquepaque,+Jalisco,+Mexico&t=m&z=18&layer=c&cbll=20.620133,-103.321513&panoid=yaOZSvexMf9Hd0sYU7_w5w&cbp=12,41.08,,0,0
If you rotate the view to the left, you will see the KFC and Elektra store on the opposite side.
