Funny you should mention it Beede. I get my chickens and rumor has it someone is raising miniature burros locally, and now we can have a couple of dogs. Of course you being the dog expert and all we will be looking to you for advice.

Roofbob - we are selling 1.75 acres on the south side of our ranchito, just 1 mile east of Chapala with awesome views. It is walled and gated in front, fenced all around, cleared, and has access to CFE, Chapala water and Telmex. Our horse pastures are to the north of it. We are working on getting permission to make this a small subdivision, 6 lots plus an access road, but if you want to buy the whole thing, well hey, we could talk :-)

Thanks, espiritu. We love it here, and our horsies have never been so fat and happy. We had tried to set up a chat board on our web site for Lakeside horse people, but no-one ever used it. Kerry has set up a Yahoo group for Lakeside equestrians, there's a little activity on that. And I have no time to blog.......sorry about that.

Do you know who had or has that blog? The last I read is they went to visit California and work on a new property they purchased. Do you purchase their property? It was a horse property in the same area your located. Anyhow congratulations on finishing your endeavor.

Nope, I have never known of a horsie blog down here. We purchased raw land, all covered with scrub and prickly stuff, cleared it, and built from scratch.
