Globos Saturday Sept 8th!!!

For those who have never been to see the globos you simply must go! The event is in Ajijic tomorrow, in the soccer field across from Salvadore's Restaurant, next to the Wednesday tianges street. Anytime after 2:00* until just after sunset, bring a lawn chair if you can, camera, hat, water and sunscreen. This is one event you will never ever forget.

An event not to be missed, absolutely. But it doesn't start til later.....around 2:00 pm. (I live nearby.)

If you want a seat in the shady stands, you need to get there earlier than that. Otherwise you're out on the field....which is fun, too! The Globos are great!

Yup, it's a blast. We think the real entertainment is watching what is going on down on the field.

This is such a fun event...not to be missed. But, some of them don't make it out of the stadium and crash and burn right in the field, so just be fleet of foot!

What a blast we use to do them at Burning Man in Neveda.
Good way to spend part of the day.

Let's see. Hundreds of people, making hot air balloons made of tissue paper, fueled by little pans of burning oil, all on a soccer field launching them (or not) at the same time.
Not something you are going to see up north, but if you haven't this before, make sure you go it is a hoot.
Colorful, fun, and you have to feel some sympathy for the ones that never make it off the ground as these folks have put a ton of effort into making these colorful balloons.
Don't miss it.

Notable notes whilst watching the show:

Lots of tequila being consumed by the guys launching the floating firebombs.

No cops, no firemen, no Cruz Roja.
