Pay vehicle fees for Jalisco plated vehicles by tomorrow or be fined
Pay by tomorrow for your 2012 vehicle fees or face fines starting August 1, 2012 (Wednesday). The fines and fees will usually more than double what your normal payment is.

Not sure I understand this. What fees? More fees than registering your car every year???

These would be the annual fees for cars and motos, if not paid by tomorrow, they will rise from tomorrow´s fee of $400 or so to over $1,100 pesos with extra fines and fees, etc.

I see, so it's basically registration fees that occur every year, but the dodos who refuse to honor the system get their asses fined as it should be.

John:
If you look at the post title, it distinctly says Jalisco Plated Vehicles! Now you choose to make social commentary about people dodging fees. I suppose your plates and everything on your Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition is current and up to date?

Discounts in Jan and Feb, later cost up to 416 or so and after Aug. 1st fines kick in, all isn't lost you can get the fines reduced sometimes up to 50% but depends on a few things.

When you plated your car, it was for 2012. Intercasa is talking about the sticker that has to be paid yearly for the plates (for you it will be next year Jan 2013).
It's the same as the plate sticker in Canada...except it goes on your car window and not on the license plate.
You've got it covered Hocks.

One more thing...don't EVER throw out ANY of your car paperwork...especially the annual sticker paperwork. If you ever want to sell the car or move to another state in Mexico, you will need it ALL.
Somehow, we misplaced one of the sticker receipts on our VW bug which we owned for 9 nine years. We had the stickers for two years after the missing one and 6 years previous to the missing one...like as if we could have even gotten the stickers if we hadn't paid for every year. This occurred when we were changing our plates from Guanajuato to Nayarit. What an unholy rigamarole to get it fixed. Required an official notarized letter from the State of Guanajuato stating that all dues were paid up.
Don't make the mistake that we did.
