In case there may be some real mechanics here

Between the 90k miles and 6 years of Mexican roads the Voyager is telling me it's tired. Problem is the front end is bottoming out on everything. Mechanic says all he can do is put a 1" lift kit under the springs. I don't know how much struts contribute to car height so would new help? The other hitch is I had to make an emergency purchace of two new tires, they went in front ... and are a very little bit smaller than the standard for the car. The bottoming out was happening before the new tires but not as much.

So what .... lift kit, larger tires ... anything else

Larger tires (as long as they don't rub the wheel wells when you turn sharp) and struts with heavier springs. You should have the same sized tires and heavier struts all around, not just the front, or your handling will be compromised.
