As I have been Big Daddy for quite a few years, I found out about him probably 25 years ago and have been following his work. Great stuff.

Was lucky enough to be at the 1963 Winter Nationals in Pamona Ca. when Big Daddy Don Gartlis, driving his Swamp Rat XXX, broke the 200 mph barrier in the quarter. Still get goose bumps remembering that race.

I love big daddy roth and all his crazy stuff. I was going to put a rat fink tattoo on my arm with all the other car stuff but dident quite work out well, so maybe on one of my legs(my other arm will be all guitar and music related stuff). I've never found a schedule either. They usually post events on there a few weeks in advance. Off hand I don't know of any but I havent looked in a while.

I just went and looked at their page and they show an event on May 31 that includes the Jet Powered Dragsters. That would be a good one. Just note that these events go from about noon to Midnight. The Jet cars will probably make an appearance after dark when they look cooler. Best to arrive late in the afternoon or early evening to see the best stuff.

He certainly can. Send me a reminder note in July and I will put a trip to the track together.

Hey, please add me to motorheads lakeside.  I don't know much about stick and ball games but have grown up around horsepower and racing. I follow both the Guad & Monterrey tracks on FB. Have been to one event at autodromo guadalajara and have seen comments about poor condition of the track. Mainly from the road racers not draggers. My passion is vintage 2strokes from the '70s.
