Opthalmologist @ Lakeside

If you need emergency help, I found one Opthalmologist that is full time @ Lakeside. We had emergency yesterday @ 4:00 PM...called every listing we could find and found most work out of GDL, and are available @ Lakeside, Tuesday & Thursday, or Monday and Friday. Reached Dr. Pinto on his cell, he met us 30 minutes later at his office, object removed with minor scratched Cornea....on our way 20 minutes later...patch on eye . Cost 400 pesos!

Yup, good guy. Have been going to him since he moved from GDL to Vista del Lago and opened his practice in Riberas. chico

I think Dr. Pinto is the most highly recommended Optometrist at Lakeside.

For eyeglasses Costco is also good and has a good selection of frames.

Dr. Pinto is not an optometrist, but an opthamologist. Big difference. We are fortunate to have him here. Not only is he the highest recommended opthamologist here, but the only one. chico.

There is at least one ophthalmologist who has a visiting office location here, equipped for examinations. Dr. Vargas, comes to the Ajijic clinic on Tuesdays if he has appointments with the locals. He did my eye surgery recently at the Hospital Puerta de Hierro in Guadalajara, which has is a huge opthalmology division and excellent facilities.
Since most surgeries are done in Guad, it is very convenient to have the pre and post exams done locally.

Good for you Gringal....stick with success of anykind here......Dr. Pinto is 24/7 on call and committed to Lakeside.......his office is open Monday thru Friday 10-3..........24 hour emergency......#333 106 1634........He is the only full time opthamologist serving lakeside......Thank God I found him.....he solved the problem, and saved me a trip to GDL on a Friday night
