Re: Doesn't matter where you are...
Update, photo problem taken care of. One nice thing is much of what I have learned about my iPhone applies to my iPad. But there's a lot left to learn from the on screen instruction manual.
Hey wait a second. This is the crime section. I shall stop writing about my new iPad. But I had to make this post so I would have 80 posts making me a shareholder. Sorry about that

Re: Doesn't matter where you are...
Welcome new shareholder! Start a new thread about your Ipad (New). I'll be glued to it.
So far, I've been using the Ipad with my laptop right behind it...I keep having to ask google how to do something, then I follow the instructions on the laptop. Google FAILED to give me a good "how to" import my e-mail contacts to the Ipad...tried three different methodologies. Finally sent myself an e-mail with all my contacts in the carbon copy (apologized to everyone for doing that in the body of the e-mail) and manually added them to the ipad. Never have been able to figure out why my contacts weren't already there when I logged into yahoo to my mail account. Grumble, grumble...that was a PITA (and a crime).

This just in. A foot and a hand mailed separately to two Vancouver schools. One, a private $$$$$$ school - St. Georges, and the other a public elementary close to downtown. This country has had a run of sick twisted sh*t lately. Very sad.

Gosh, between Vancouver and Seattle (with our 4 to 5 bodies) during the last few days we sure have been having our share of murders, body parts etc. And we are not much more than 90 minutes south of you (driving very fast)
So far so good on Vancouver Island. Trouble is, I'm hardly there unless the sun's out. It will start getting sunny up here when the rain starts down there (Lake Chapala)
I usually take the boat to Victoria from the states. Maybe I will come back through Hongcouver, and check out the apple store in "Rich-Man" on the way back from the "big Island". (If you follow some of the other posts you know I have a very expensive addition, that Neil pointed out, I keep on stopping at Apple stores and buying things like iPads, Apple TVs etc. and paying too much)
No, when I say "Rich-man" I'm not talking about any of us. That's the name of a city just south of Hongcouver where the Apple store makes many of its clients poor-men and women.
May you all have a good evening (11:40 PM or so) or if you are lakeside a good morning.

All I can say Merry is, when I first read the name above as Jackack, I misread it as well.
No I will make no serious comments tonight, but I'm about to have my last rum and diet Coke. Have a great evening all.
Something’s wrong, the sun's out in Seattle. And I have a confession to make to Neil. The reason I went to the Apple store, was to buy my first iPad, the new iPad.
However, when sober Monday I will deny I made this post :)
Dawg is inspired, Pete. Rum and Diet Coke sounds like a good way to cut the calories after all that French cheese and those Parisian baguettes Dawg has been consuming here while staying with family in Paris. I´m going out right now and buying a liter of Havana Club Special Reserve Dark Aged Rum and a Diet Coke. On the way home on the Metro, I´ll give the Diet Coke to a bum and drink the rum neat. Next time you see me I´ll be thin as a rail.

I don't know the significance of the destinations but these are obviously two of the three outstanding body parts mailed by Luka Rocco Magnotta after he dismembered his murder victim in Montreal (which means the victim's head is still outstanding). The police won't say so until confirmed by DNA, of course, but I think it is reasonable to conclude that these are related incidents and not some new horror. Magnotta, by the way, sits in a Berlin prison awaiting extradition back to Canada.

In a couple of more weeks, John. By the way, the carnage among the cartels and others in Msxico is not making the news in any significant way here in France probably because the French rarely think of other places on the globe unless they find them exotic. The French love the Maya culture of Southern Mexico for instance but show no interest at all in Lake Chapala in general even with the recent crime wave.

Double post. Dawg likes this "mood control" function apparently on because it´s 2:00AM in Ajijic but that makes it 10:00AM in Paris so Dawg is in full mood control without a governor. Thanks anyway, CB.

Re: Doesn't matter where you are...
From Yahoo News:
Such shootings are rare in Canada, where residents are nervous about anything that might indicate they are moving closer to U.S. levels of gun violence. The oil boom town of Fort McMurray, Alberta, however, often has drug-related shootings, and Vancouver often has gang shootings. Gunfire at Toronto's most prominent mall this month left two dead and several injured and a shooting at an Edmonton club in 2006 left three dead.

This case made headlines all over Canada and the U. S., but it would be a rare day indeed without at least one triple murder or worse in Mexico.

Re: Doesn't matter where you are...
IMHO, I am not interested in the news from NOB. When I go to website in Mexico like inside lakeside I'm looking for information about Mexico. Although few days ago I read something interesting from Canada about how they arrested a cannibal there.
