Duran the Tyrant

Well Duran is exercising his prejudices again by not allowing anything political on his forum. Someone put a post about the upcoming ex-pat tax that the US is going to try and he immediately deleted it.

His house, his rules.

Besides who cares..............jajaja.

In the interest of accuracy, it wasn't deleted but moved to the Mexico General section and then locked.

I'm cutting him a lot of slack right now. I'm sure he has a lot on his mind. Glad to have this place to talk things out.

Thats a non-issue here. How many people do you personally know who have so much in a capital gains situation that they choose to renounce their citizenship and then in the end all the proposed bill would address is this particular guy and even so all of those who have renounced their citizenship have tax obligations for about a decade.

I guess I just don't see why such a post would be locked. Maybe because it doesn't have anything to do with Mexico.

I wish I had that problem and was faced with trying to find out a way to pay less taxes. Oh well, whatever.

Duran Duran is not a he, it is a she. A repulsive control freak. Chapala.com and the LCS are both from a bygone era. The old folks patronizing the LCS sit around playing cards, yakking incongruously and engaging in tired community endeavors meant to justify their continued existence. Chapala.com is also from another era when the Tingens and their cheesy products were actually relevant. In the days gone by, the Tingens and their stooges such as the phony Duran Duran were the only product available but today they are as yesterday as a ´57 Chevy. Just be patient. They will self-destruct.

For those who may have missed it, a friend brought my attention to the fact that "Shira" slipped and admitted to having deleted a posting from a member. So it is now known who another of the mods is!

Yep. And HE'S a poster here. When I accused HER of being the heinous Duran some time ago, she denied it and said there was no such person as Duran and that 'Duran' was really HE.

I'm not willing to out them, you all can if you like. I think it's funny that SHE outed HIM.

That just doesn't make sense. She is not that computer literate - and too busy for that crap. Definitely not. If anything, she misspoke - may have meant deleted a PM etc.

Muddled - that's for sure. What the post meant was "I was a member of a yahoo group called LakeChapala but deleted my name (unjoined) from that group when I found out that LakeHeron was listed as the owner."

LakeChapala is the new yahoo group where people can discuss crime. I have no idea who is the owner of that group and really don't care - but i doubt that it is LakeHeron. Lots of people joined - to include Shira. Apparently Shira didn't like who she thought was the moderator or owner of that group - LakeChapala - so Shira dropped from the group.

As for the comments on San Miguel - lots of people from San Miguel have joined the LakeChapala Yahoo group - and she didn't think they should be allowed to join the forum on crime at Lake Chapala.

Got nothing to do with Chapala.com. 5 star muddled post.

WOW! Must take a very special type of mind altering substances to get all of that out of the OP. As has been proven over and over again, some posters have a knack.

I was just about to post the same but I will admit I had to read it a couple of times to figure it out.
Can't we agree the 2 boards are different. Lots of restrictions on TOB, lots of drama on this one...

Not quite right.

You join Yahoo groups - and then you can quit the group. She quit the group.

And the Yahoo group wasn't dealing too much with SMA. The problem was too many SMA people were joining the group in Shira's opinion.

Now the posters here are muddling stuff.

Shira thought this thread was very funny. Her post refered to a post from Lake Heron just prior to hers that answered somone asking for sites where the crime situation was being addressed. Lake Heron told the poster to go to Lake Chapala.Lake Chapala.
Shira said she had left that forum because it was now entertaining info from San Miguel where the owner of the board lives and therefore the forum had lost its focus.

All of these explanations about what Shira supposedly meant or really did say are making no sense!

What makes even less sense is the constant obsessing and bitching about TOB here. Why do y'all give a damn?
