The mummies of Guanajuato

When visiting Guanajuato (city) you must go and see the Mummy Museam. It is quite incredible.

I've been doing some work on my genealogy, some of those people look eerily familiar!

Somehow I don't think that "mummy decor" will catch on.

Those people were evicted from the cemetery because their relatives couldn't pay the tax. I was there a year ago. I agree it is interesting, but it has an odd smell.

Because of their body configuration some believed that they had been buried alive but now that scientific studies have been done on dead bodies it is known that dead bodies will continue to move after they’ve been buried.

But they did exhibit one woman who's casket had been clawed at from within. A terrible thought.
