Post by Jim W Tue Apr 24, 2012 3:43 pm

Just returned from fishing trip with 3 great guys......one vegetable...LOL vegetarian....trying to plan menu for the mix can be somewhat over whelming. There is a one hour time change......a 3 hour drive......the fishing was great.....the catching was a little disappointing....40-50 bass caught per boat...per day....Thanks guys for a fun bonding trip. Beer Beer Beer Beer Beer Beer Beer Beer Beer Beer Beer Introduced my friends to Bill Chapman, that introduced Large Mouth bass to Mexico 20 years ago.

Yes, while the rest of you sat around your computers sniping at each other about the local gunfights and waiting for the reaper (jajajaja), Jim, I and a couple of amigos went Bass fishing at Aguamilpa. I must say it was some of the best fishing (ambiance, quantity, price) that I have ever done. I will be back there ASAP...........

Thanks for the offer but bass just are not my cup o' tea. Trout, salmon, tuna, steelhead and such are fun to catch and very enjoyable to eat.

Jim:
I don't express negative feelings about anything I haven't caught or eaten when it comes to fish. Spent far too many hours/days fishing (when growing up) for large mouth & small mouth bass, walleye, northern pike, crappie, bullhead and various other warm water fish and then being forced to eat when I didn't like them. If you look at my list, all of those fish are traditionally served as sushi or served cooked. That is my measuring stick.

Come on Neil, be a positive poster.....one time would be great......you have a way of twisting posts...I fish here approx. 100 days per year, in MX Agua Milpa I know every lodge owner....and introduced C Bob to Bill Chapman the man that brought large mouth bass to Mexico.....20 years ag0

Did I state that others should fish for bass? Do whatever trips your trigger but there are far too many things for me to experience and enjoy in Mexico without doing something that I don't care for. You would get the same reaction if I was invited to "smoke a bowl"!

Taking a guy who doesn't want to fish is a bad deal...guaranteed not to get a bite, no matter how hard you try, he'll scare them away. Better for Neil to stay home next trip & keep the bass fishing good ;o) Love the idea of taking John with you!!! hehe That should be on a bucket list!

1. Take John bass fishing in Mexico w/the guys on the forum. lol Make a movie of it...Road trip with John, which would be like dragging Charles Winchester with you to such a primitive place. ...lol...You'd better bring him back!!! Someone needs to be cantankerous on the forum & keep things interesting to read! ;0) and leave Neil home so the fish will bite. prorader can ride on the hood! I bet he likes to yodle & hear his voice reverberate off the mountains & water. What a mixed bag you'd all be.
