THE US CUSTOMS, US NEWS MEDIA AND CANADIAN NEWS MEDIA

My friends from Canada went thru Customs in the US on Saturday. Customs agents are telling people how dangerous it is to visit Mexico. They are outright lying to the people. The US News Media has been trashing Mexico as a dangerous place to kep tourist $$$ in the US. The Canadian News Media is as bad or worse than the US News Media, according to my Canadian friends. They are ALL LIARS!

Let's look at what goes on in the US. The latest a random shooter in a school killing 7 kids. A crimewatch volunteer assasinating a teenage boy. This was a true tragedy. A random shooter on Hollywood Blvd taking pot shots at passerby cars. Murderers in every city, rapists, real home invasions including burning people alive, teacher pedophiles, kidnapping of adults and children, child killers, perverts, etc. Oh yeah, but the US is really safe to live.

This is nothing new. The US customs people were telling us how dangerous Mexico is when we went through US customs on our way down 4 years ago. I wouldn't agree that the media are "Liars". They don't "make up" stories. They simply withhold some of the pertinent facts to make a story appear worse than it is and don't do any follow up stories.

Nothing new. They also search and grill you leaving the US now in a car. Say the wrong thing and get a gun in your face and than they will ask you why
you are nervous. Only problem no one know what the wrong thing is anymore. It not a matter of being afraid because you have something to
hide or whatever. The ICE agents are playing games and laughing at you behind your back. They think its funny upsetting old people. No I
am not kidding.

CanuckBob is right on. They will NOB cover the situation when the gangs burn the buses but they won't tell you the gangs apologized to the community the following day. They are very selective what they tell folks NOB in the papers. Mexico Good guys/Bad guys, way to simple a model but that is how Mexico is sold in the media NOB.

In my view, anyone willing to strictly listen to the medias on any topic, let alone Mexico, and then make decisions based upon such deserves to be led down the "yellow brick road"! And it happens every single day. If a person is of this particular mental makeup, then it is probably best that they don't visit or even contemplate moving to Mexico. Why worry about it? It is their loss!
